Mexican-Wrapped La Gloria Cubana Shipping Today

La Gloria Cubana has gone to Mexico. For the first time in the brand’s history, La Glorias are now offered in a dark, Mexican San Andrés wrapper and they’re heading to retailers today.

Showcasing a dark cover leaf from Mexico, the La Gloria Cubana Serie S consists of a Nicaraguan binder around a filler blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco. The cigars are made in the Dominican Republic at El Credito, a rolling gallery located within the General Cigar Dominicana factory that’s dedicated entirely to the La Gloria Cubana brand.

The new Serie S is intended to be medium-to-full bodied in strength and comes in three thick sizes: Robusto Gordo, measuring 5 1/2 inches by 56 ring gauge; the 6-by-60 Gigante; and Presidente, at 7 by 56. The cigars retail for $7.99, $8.49 and $8.99, respectively. All sizes are boxed in 24-count slide-lid cabinets.

La Gloria Cubana is distributed by Forged Cigar Co., a subsidiary of parent company Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
