Medak MP inaugurates Paddy Procurement Centres

Medak: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy on Wednesday said the State government has been making all arrangements to procure paddy, overcoming all the challenges.

Though the lockdown imposed by the Union government to combat the COVID-19 outbreak is throwing many challenges to administration, the Medak MP said that they have been making all arrangements to procure the paddy by setting up over 70,000 purchasing centres across Telangana.

Reddy inaugurated paddy procurement centres (PPCs) at Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) in Toopran and another procurement centre in Manoharabad Mandal headquarters. Forest Development Corporation Chairman, Vanteru Prathap Reddy, Food Corporation Chairman, Election Reddy, DCCB Chairman Chitti Devendar Reddy and others were present.

Earlier, Reddy has issued letters of consent to a woman K Vijaya, a native of Potaram village of Dubbak Mandal in Siddipet district, for Rs 3 lakhs. The woman was suffering from some ailment.
