Bottled water will be available at a mass distribution event Saturday in northeast Houston, city officials said.

The distribution begins at 9:30 a.m. at New Light Church at 7317 E. Houston Road. A million water bottles were passed out Friday during another mass distribution.

Houston is under a boil water notice that will likely remain in place until Monday, officials said. The city’s water pressure dropped to unsafe levels earlier this week during the winter storm, but public works crews have been working to restore pressure. Water samples must pass state qualifications before the boil water notice can be lifted.

For now, residents must use boiled or bottled water for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth.

Other water distributions across the city and region include:

  • 9 a.m. at Bayside Community Center, 4833 10th Street, Bacliff
  • 9 a.m. at Astros Youth Academy, 2801 S. Victory Drive, Houston
  • 8 a.m. Tom Bass Park, 15108 Cullen Boulevard, Houston
