Margaret L. Carson | North Vernon

Margaret L. Carson, 64, of Elizabethtown died Sunday, December 26, 2021, at home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. with the Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.

Mrs. Carson had worked as a purchasing agent in material management at St. Vincent Jennings County Hospital for 35 years. She enjoyed doing puzzles and diamond art. Most of all she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Born on July 9, 1957, in Seymour, Mrs. Carson was the loving daughter of Clarence and Helen Matern Kirchner. She was united in marriage to Charles Carson May 19, 1979. He survives.

In addition to her husband, survivors include daughters, Michelle (Justin) Colglazier of Elizabethtown, Dianna (Tyler) Davitto of Danville, and Karla (Chris) Gholson of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Ethan, Jaidalyn, Elena, Carson, Sophia, Gabriella, and Jaxon; brothers, Robert, John, Joseph, Mike, Stephen, Andy, and Pat Kirchner all of North Vernon, and Paul Kirchner of Seymour; sisters, Mary Such of California, Dorothy Palmer of Martinsville, Joanne Skelly of Indianapolis, and Cathy Capes, Jane Kirchner, Donna Green, Ruth Norris, and Jeanette Firsich, all of North Vernon.

Mrs. Carson was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mark Kirchner.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the St. Mary’s School.
