Mango publishes second-tier factory list

Tier 2 suppliers are the sources where Tier 1 suppliers get their materials. For example, a T-shirt factory receives its materials from a fabric mill. That mill is a Tier 2 supplier to the clothing company.

The list, available from today (23 December), can be found on the company’s website.

Mango will also update its list of first-tier factories with which it has direct business relationships, typically in the final stages of production such as cutting, sewing, assembling and packing. Its list of first-tier factories was first published in 2020.

In 2022, Mango plans to publish a newly updated list, which will include Tier 3 factories, relating to raw materials.

In September, the retailer announced that it would launch Alter Made, a sustainable fashion brand, as an independent addition to the group. From November, Alter Made will be released online and in select European countries including Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Mango was founded in Barcelona 1984, and is today present in 110 countries.
