Managing supply chain risk in 2020 and beyond | Supply Chain Management

Supply chains are at risk.

Over the past few years, there has been several incidents outside of organisations control that have caused operations to falter. Due to hurricanes destroying Pfizer’s facilities in Puerto Rico in 2017, the company suffered approximately US$195mn in damage. In 2018, typhoons caused power failures and meant car manufacturer Toyota was forced to shut down its factories. While last year in 2019, the US-China trade war cost around US$455bn.

Incidents such as these highlight the importance of companies’ approach to proactively gauging and mitigating external risk.

On Thursday, February 27, 2020, Bristlecone and Lora Cecere, Founder of Supply Chain Insights and a prolific supply chain shaman, will host “Supply Chain Foresight 20/20”. The webinar is set to centre around where the world of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) is heading, AI’s role in SCRM and how Sense.ai provides the foresight needed to transform your supply chain.
