Man arrested after police raid on huge Doncaster town centre cannabis factory

A number of officers raided premises in Scot Lane this morning, Tuesday, March 3, and remain at the scene carrying out investigations.

One man, 24, has been arrested.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers have executed a warrant on Scot Lane in Doncaster this morning.

“A cannabis set up has been located and officers remain at the scene.”

Pictures from the scene show metal window shutters which were cut away by officers using specialist cutting gear.

A photo from inside the drugs den shows dozens of huge cannabis plants.

Doncaster Fortify Team tweeted: “Fortify officers have been assisting Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Police Team with specialist method of entry at a cannabis cultivation in Doncaster town centre. Roller shutter, glass door and wooden door breached. One male arrested, awaiting process.”
