Major fire breaks out at abandoned factory in Sh

Fire officials say a major fire broke out at an abandoned factory in Shelton Saturday night.

Firefighters battled the blaze that broke out around 7:30 p.m. at the site of the old Star Pin Company on Canal Street.

Fire officials say they used a defensive strategy due to the age and condition of the 114-year-old building.
