Lödige Industries completes delivery of state-of-the-art automation system for e-commerce distribution centre in Dubai

Lödige Industries equipped one of the leading global e-commerce companies with modern conveying solution supporting ambitious expansion plans in the region. Amid rising e-commerce demand and growing customer expectations on speed and accuracy of delivery, e-commerce providers are expanding parcel handling capacity within Dubai Investment Park and other areas across the UAE.

The centre has been designed with maximum flexibility. With shipments coming in all shapes and sizes; from small light envelopes (20cm x 30cm x 0.5cm – 100g ) to large heavy parcels (60cm x 45cm x 36cm – 25kg), a flexible robust solution was required to ensure that items can be processed and dispatched on time.

Guy Walker, MD Lödige Industries in the Middle East, commented: “Flexibility and the ability to scale up are crucial requirements for many warehouses and distribution centres. We are pleased that we were able to support the e-commerce customers with a solution that allows for future expansion, while providing a perfect-fit for current requirements.
