HACKENSACK, NJ — City police have arrested a 33-year-old Lodi man who is on probation for a previous drug conviction, after he distributed crack cocaine in a city school zone.
An investigation by the Hackensack Police Department Narcotics Bureau found that Kisaac Martin, a repeat offender, drove his 2009 Mercedes-Benz while conducting sales of crack cocaine with a suspended driver’s license.
On January 22, a city police officer observed Martin and conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested him for the drug offenses. He was charged with distribution of crack cocaine within 500 feet within a public building (the Hackensack M&M Recreational Center) and distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of school (the Early Childhood Developmental Center.) He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for having a suspended driver’s license and failure to wear a seatbelt. Kissac was remanded to Bergen County Jail on a warrant pending a detention hearing in Hackensack.
Meanwhile, the other two occupants — Hackensack’s Devon Martin, 30, and a cousin of Kisaac — refused to cooperate with officers and attempted to flee the scene on foot. Devon physically struggled with officers as they attempted to stop him.
Devon was charged with obstructing administration of law and resisting arrest, both disorderly persons offenses. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to wear a seatbelt. He was released from Hackensack Police Department on a summons pending a first appearance in Hackensack Municipal Court.
