Ljubljana stock exchange indices end in green, Luka Koper shines

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), May 4 (SeeNews) – The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed Wednesday’s trading session higher, compared with the day before, with port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] leading the gainers, bourse data showed.

Luka Koper’s shares advanced 9.54% to close at 26.40 euro on Wednesday, LJSE data showed.

At the other end, pharmaceutical products wholesaler Salus [LJE:SALR] lead the blue-chip decliners, with shares losing 4.11% to 1,400 euro.

The blue-chip SBITOP index gained 0.06% and closed at 1,165.27 points on Wednesday, whereas the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, gained 0.17% to end at 1,371.06 points.

The bourse’s daily trading turnover came in at 1.4 million euro ($1.5 million) on Wednesday, up from 739,005 euro generated on Tuesday.

Nova Ljubljanska Banka [LJE:NLBR] was the most liquid company on the bourse on Wednesday, as its shares switched hands in a total turnover of 579,861 euro. NLB’s shares closed at 65 euro, down 1.22%.
