LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A worker in Long Island City got their hand stuck in a dumpling making machine this week.
Around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24th — the evening before Thanksgiving Day — the FDNY got a call from a person working at 23-01 Borden Avenue, a primarily industrial thoroughfare in Long Island City near the Newtown Creek.
The person told fire officials that they had their hand stuck in a “dumpling skin machine.”

Upon arrival, however, the person managed to disentangle themselves from the machine, and EMS transported them to a hospital in Brooklyn.
Fire officials told Patch that they did not know the condition of the person as of Friday.

Two businesses are registered under the address at 23-01 Borden Avenue: A pet supply store called Muni Paw, and a grocery wholesaler named Safi Pushcart Supplies.
Patch was not able to immediately contact either business for comment.
