Libya Central Bank allows receiving shipping documents to import Egyptian goods via Musaid crossing

CAIRO – 15 May 2022: The Central Bank of Libya allowed Libyan banks to receive land shipping documents related to importing goods of Egyptian origin through Musaid crossing.




Director of the Banking Supervision and Monetary Department at the Central Bank of Libya Mukhtar Al-Tawil said that the decision came after meeting with Egyptian side to facilitate trade exchange between the two countries.

He pointed at the importance of verifying the integrity of the documents submitted to the banks and that they conform to legal procedures.
