Asst. Prof. Dr. Nartraphee Chaimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), spoke of the policy to create graduates who are ready to work in the modern world: “We need to keep up with the changes and trends in trade, business, and investment, always looking ahead towards the future because technology and work spheres are fast-changing.
The Faculty therefore is constantly improving our curricula and always coming up with platforms for students to practice what they learn. For example, SAP Programme Laboratory – one of the most common types of software used in business world; Logistics Laboratory – simulation room using the Arena programme to simulate real-world situations; and Securities Laboratory – a real time laboratory for securities investment and analysis with BISNEWS software to mitigate investment risk.

“In addition to classrooms and laboratories, we believe that students should go seek knowledge outside university. This is why the Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTT, encourages students in every major to join national and international competitions to improve their skills and abilities. So far, our students have earned several awards. For example, in 2019 students in the Business Computer Department won 5th place in the Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 category in the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship 2019 in the United States. RMUTT also won 3rd place the previous year in the same championship and received 1st and 2nd runner-up awards in ICDL Digital Challenge 2018 as well.”

As for national competition in 2019, students from the Faculty of Business Administration received the 2nd runner-up certificate in the MOS Olympic Thailand Competition 2019 (MOS TH). In 2018, the Faculty was awarded a Bronze certificate in the Microsoft Word category, Bronze special certificate in Microsoft Excel category, and Silver special certificate in Microsoft PowerPoint category.
The Dean said, “The Faculty puts a lot of emphasis on IT and English as well as on preparing students for working at the international level. The Faculty organised the examination of ‘The Internet and Computing Core (IC3) Certificate’ as an IT certification standard for every student. Certified by international institutes, it is a pathway to a higher certificate, so students from the Faculty are well-prepared to enter the labour market.”

“As for English language, the Faculty has arranged free TOEIC preparations and examinations for all students, freshmen to senior year. Moreover, the Faculty has worked with the world-class New Zealand University, Auckland University of Technology (AUT), to establish the ‘Thai-New Zealand Centre (TNZC)’ at RMUTT Innovation and Knowledge Center, 7th floor, DD Mall, opposite Chatuchak Market. During the initial period, the centre provides intensive English classes in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar by native New Zealand teachers. The courses are suitable for students and general people who want to gain more knowledge in this area.”
