Kuwait Plans New Industrial Port

The Kuwait Port Authority (KPA) and Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry (PAI) have signed an MoU to set up an industrial port in the south of the country, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

As per the MoU, the two organisations will first conduct a joint study for the project which aims to elevate Kuwait’s position worldwide and enhance its local manufacturing capability.

The Kuwait Port Authority manages three commercial ports in Kuwait namely Shuwaikh, Shuaiba and Doha.

The deal will be finalised after getting approvals from the boards of both organisations remarked KPA’s General Manager Abdulkarim Taqi after signing the MoU with PAI Director General Sheikh Yousef Abdullah Al Sabah.
