K&S on risk management and operations amid Covid-19

Transport and logistics group, K&S Corporation, continues to report zero Covid-19 cases within its Australian business.

In a letter dated 30 October 2020, K&S Corporation CEO, Paul Sarant, outlined a series of company updates.

The New Zealand arm of the business has resumed normal operations with minimal Covid-19 restrictions whereas the Australian contingent is optimistic about transitioning to a full operation as Covid case numbers are dropping to more manageable levels.

“Currently within our Melbourne operations we have a number of administration support employees working from home,” he said. “This practice will continue as an important part of our risk management plans.”

K&S will review this arrangement towards the end of this month.

Sarant referred to a regional cluster directly linked to a Melbourne truck driver who visited areas such as Shepparton.

“Particularly for our drivers travelling into regional communities and interstate, it is vital that the ongoing compliance to the home-based location restrictions are complied with to reduce any risk of community transmission that would potentially adversely impact regional areas and our ability to operate safely,” he said.

K&S, according to Sarant, has an important ongoing role in regards to Covid-19 risk management including social distancing, face masks, good hygiene and cleaning.

Earlier this year, K&S reported a 400 per cent improvement in profit.
