PORTLAND, Ore. (Tuesday, December 17, 2019) — KEEN, Inc. (KEEN), the Portland, Oregon-based brand on a mission to create original and versatile products, improve lives, and inspire adventures outside, is proud to announce that their “Consciously Created” approach has been awarded the prestigious 2019 Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE) Green Supply Chain award from Supply and Demand Chain Executive.

The Green Supply Chain Award recognizes companies making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations and supply chains. The awards also recognize providers of supply chain solutions and services assisting their customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals.

“Over the past decade, we have been working tirelessly to analyze and improve KEEN’s supply chain and manufacturing processes to be more eco-friendly” says Chris Enlow, Corporate Responsibility Senior Director for KEEN Footwear. “On this journey to becoming more sustainable we are proud to say we only use PFC-Free water repellency, utilize pesticide-free naturally occurring probiotics in our footbeds, and source our leather from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries that use processes to reduce chemicals, energy usage, and water pollution.”
