K Line to help develop hydrogen supply chain to drive decarbonisation

The Japan Hydrogen Association seeks to promote global cooperation in hydrogen-oriented activities and establish a hydrogen supply chain.

“Hydrogen is expected to play a central role to solve global warming. We have decided to participate in the association because its initiative – implementation of hydrogen in the society and encouragement to develop hydrogen industry through collaboration with various stakeholders – is fully aligned with our principle to drive decarbonisation of ourselves and the society,” K Line stated.

K Line is already working toward its own Environmental Vision 2050 – Blue Seas for the Future, under which the company promises not only to reduce the emission of greenhouse gas from its fleet but also to encourage decarbonisation of society.

K Line has set itself a target to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030 compared to 2008 levels.
