Etisalat’s SmartHub has announced a new partnership with global network solutions provider IX Reach.
As part of Etisalat SmartHub, IX Reach will have a presence in the Middle East to support its global infrastructure, interconnections, capacity and expand its reach into Middle East and Africa region. With this new regional presence, IX Reach will be able to provide all its customers with access to cloud services and remote locations globally.
“We are excited about our partnership with Etisalat as we are now able to add more than 240 points of presence (PoPs) across 83 cities in 30 countries due to the connectivity of SmartHub in addition to connecting to all major public clouds and over 50 Internet Exchanges,” said Simon Vye, chief revenue officer at IX Reach.
“The best part about the agreement is that it can all be managed and configured on ‘One Portal Platform’ giving us access to an incredible base of partners, provisioning immediate access to cloud services and remote locations around the world.”
Etisalat’s SmartHub is centrally located in the Middle East supported by several route-independent carriers that offer direct access to multiple independent subsea cable systems interconnecting Middle East, Europe, US, Asia and Africa thereby offering connectivity to approximate 2 billion people with 30ms latency.
