Interim Procurement Manager

Central Government Department – Wiltshire

£500-550 Per Day

Bramwith consulting have been engaged to find a security cleared interim procurement expert for this exciting and vitally important opportunity within central government.

The successful person will provide specialist and tailored procurement and contract management support to multiple teams working on a crucial infrastructure construction project. The position will involve acting as a public procurement expert, building relationships with new and existing suppliers whilst helping manage the full end-to-end procurement process.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working alongside, commercial, project management and legal teams to provide procurement support by taking a lead on running competitive tenders, negotiating with suppliers, and managing all stakeholders involved to deliver the project on budget and on time
  • Developing strong relationships with the external supplier base, and ensuring contractual compliance through effective communication
  • Responsible for all aspects of contract management, including ensuring compliance with government frameworks and OJEU regulations, and managing NEC3 contracts

The key requirements for this role:

  • Must have In-date security clearance
  • Strong experience of public sector procurement and contractual regulations
  • Good educational track-record, CIPS desirable
  • Previous experience of working on commercial infrastructure and construction projects (essential), with knowledge of NEC3 (desirable)
