
Procurement Category Manager – Global Prestigious Consulting Firm – £65K – 70K + Package Remote based (flex location)
Client: Global Prestigious Consulting Firm
Location: Currently remote based, but after Covid has settled down you will be needed to travel into the client office in Newcastle 1-2 days each week.
Salary: £65,000-£70,000 + package
This Global Consulting firm have recently won new long term business with a client based in Newcastle. This client are lucky enough to have an array of clients managing their procurement spend across Transformation, Greenfield and Best Practice projects.
Reporting directly into the Procurement Director, this position will have the responsibility to:
- Leading the full end to end procurement process for the client across a range of indirect spends including Marketing, IT and Facilities
- Managing a £Multi-Million procurement budget, strategically gaining value for the client
- Leading project teams, ensuring they are keeping on top of targets and keeping the client happy
- Working closely with important senior level stakeholders, maintaining the consulting company’s excellent reputation in the market
The Procurement Category Manager will need to have:
- Excellent end to end strategic procurement experience within indirect categories Superb stakeholder management skills, effectively able to communicate and negotiate
- Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent)
- Ideally 5 – 8 years procurement experience, although strong candidates with less experience will be considered
