“I’m here at the factory” – Mick Schumacher completes his seat fitting with the Haas F1 team

“I’m here at the factory” – Mick Schumacher has finally completed his race seat fitting with the Haas F1 team, as he prepares for his debut season in Formula 1.

Mick Schumacher had previously told Sky Sports about his ability to travel to Haas base Banbury due to Covid-19 protocols. He was instead focusing on personal physical training, as he awaited a way out.

“Because of the Covid situation, I can’t do very much other than train. My preparation is going well on the physical side and I feel ready too. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to travel to England and the team yet, which would have happened many times in a normal year. But I hope there will be a chance to get there in the next few days.”

After a significant wait, the seat fitting has been completed, with him sharing a video describing his feeling after it. There are high hopes from him this term, considering he is arguably the highest-profile rookie in F1 history.

Schumacher Jr. has Nikita Mazepin as teammate, who too had a strong season in Formula 2. They would be hoping to steer and overtake Alfa Romeo into P8, keeping a watchful eye on Williams, at the same time.

“I’m here at the factory, I thankfully got the chance to come here now. The seat fit is done,” he said in a social media video. I got to meet all the guys again, which was great after seeing them before Christmas last time. I’m happy to be here and finally getting close to getting back into the car, so I’m really looking forward to that.”
