ICMR seeks procurement of antigen kits to tackle the high rate of quick and affordable COVID testing

DG ICMR has written to the Health Secretary to the procurement of quick antigen kits for ramping up testing in containment zone and hospitals across the country. The kit is said to enable a faster diagnosis at lower rate and without laboratory examination of samples. The massive push to increase the rate of COVID-19 testing can be useful for a large number of testing.
