Huxley & Kent, a Washington, D.C.-based wholesaler of fun and functional pet products, welcomed Hunter Barnes to its sales team as key account manager.

In this role, Barnes will be focused on building and supporting strategic relationships with independent pet retail chains across the USA, company officials reported. Huxley & Kent, whose brand portfolio includes Lulubelles and Kittybelles, aims to expand its growth through new product and category launches, while still offering substantial seasonal programs in 2022, officials said.

“We are lucky to have Hunter join our team at such a pivotal time in our growth. With our recent launch to ordering direct with us, Hunter will be crucial to the new strategy. His industry experience, category and sales experience will be a welcome addition to our company sales plan for this year,” said Robin Kershner, founder of Huxley & Kent.

Barnes brings more than six years of sales experience in the pet industry to his new role. Prior to joining Huxley & Kent, he served as senior sales manager for Snif-Snax, and key account manager for Worldwise.
