BELGRADE (Serbia), March 9 (SeeNews) – Hungarian company UBM Trade started the construction of a 24.4 million euro ($26.7 million) animal feed factory in Adasevci, in northern Serbia, it said on Wednesday.

The factory will be able to manufacture up to 200,000 tonnes of animal feed per year, Peter Horvath, the CEO of UBM’s Belgrade-based subsidiary, said during the groundbreaking ceremony, as seen in a video posted on news agency Tanjug’s YouTube channel.

The new facility will bring UBM’s total annual output to 1.1 million tonnes of animal feed, he added.

The factory will hire around 100 people, president Aleksandar Vucic, who attended the ground-breaking ceremony, said.

According to the company’s website, UBM has seven other animal feed factories. Five of them are located in Hungary, one is based in Slovakia, and one in Romania.
