Hornby FY 2022 Revenue, Pretax Profit Rose Despite Increased Costs, Supply Chain Issues

By Kyle Morris

Hornby PLC said Thursday that fiscal 2022 revenue and pretax profit rose despite supply chain difficulties and increased costs.

The London-listed models and collectibles group said that pretax profit for the year ended March 31 was 583,000 pounds ($709,919) compared with GBP345,000 a year earlier.

Revenue for the period was GBP53.7 million compared with GBP48.5 million a year earlier.

Overheads for the year increased to GBP24.6 million from GBP21.0 million a year prior.

Sales for April and May have been in line with expectations, but the company said it will only be able to tell if the supply chain can support demand when it moves into the busier second and third quarters

Shares in Hornby at 0746 GMT were up 0.50 pence, or 1.7%, at 30.50 pence.
