Hershey commits to end deforestation in its supply chain by 2030

said Monday that it is expanding its environmental goals over the coming years, including a pledge to end deforestation in its supply chain by 2030. Any company not in compliance with the company’s policy runs the risk of being omitted from the supply chain. The sweets-and-snacks company also aims to use 100% recyclable, reusable or compostable plastic by 2030. And the company is taking steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2024, including the construction of two new solar farms. Hershey stock is up 1.2% over the last year while the S&P 500 index
