The Role:
You’ll join the senior team at SMP and as Head of Procurement; your role will be integral to the next phase of growth within the business. Working closely with all divisional functions to drive efficiency in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain.
- Devise and implement improvements in supply process and strategy
- Working closely with supplier partners to deliver exceptional value through pro-active and strategic purchasing
- Stimulate innovation and contribute fully to service line development
- Improve efficiencies in spending for direct and indirect categories
- Manage and grow a dedicated purchasing team
The Candidate:
- Experienced in building procurement functions to support organic and acquisitive growth
- Experience within a procurement function within the print or packaging sectors
- CIPS qualified would be ideal but is not essential
- Strong at managing key supplier relationships
- Experienced in implementing contracts and service level agreements
