Goods Worth Lakhs Gutted In Fire At Factory | Indore News

Indore: A large cache of goods were gutted after a fire broke out in a plastic product factory in Sanwer Road Industrial area late on Friday night, fire department officials said.

They said that the fire erupted at RK Enterprises Plastic Factory in Sector-E at around 11.30pm, and it spread across the unit within a few minutes, gutting goods and raw material worth several lakhs of rupees.

A scrap godown located adjacent to the factory was also destroyed along with scrap material and cartons in the fire, before the fire tenders arrived at the scene.

“The fire could be doused after two hours of struggle,” said officials.

Officials said that the three fire tenders fought the blaze for nearly two hours using over 25,000 liters of water.

SP (fire) RS Nigwal said that the exact cause of the fire was not known. “No injury to anyone was reported in the fire incident, but raw material worth several lakhs of rupees were gutted,” he said. tnn
