Guam Department of Education schools are discussing hard-copy distribution schedules and will send an update later this week, according to Joseph Sanchez, Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instructional Improvement.

Each school is meeting with staff to determine the ideal distribution schedule and designate parents specific times for hard-copy packet pickups. Once the schedule is finalized, staff will help distribute curriculum to the students.

The DOE will also distribute an inventory of 8,000 laptops to improve distancing learning.

“We are working on a plan to distribute our current inventory to as many [hard-copy] students as we can,” Sanchez wrote in an email.

DOE plans to first target secondary students receiving hard-copy curriculums.

During the distribution process, the DOE will comply with public safety and health protocols to follow social distancing, wearing face masks and proper sanitation.
