Gaga Music Unveils In-House Distribution Arm Gaga Digi: Exclusive – Billboard

Gaga Music, the independent Australian publishing and sync specialist, today (April 8) launches its in-house distribution service, Gaga Digi, Billboard has learned.

The brainchild of Gaga Music’s founder and director Grant Gillies, Gaga Digi offers its clients planning, scheduling and pitching, alongside sync representation both locally and abroad, plus an exclusive and efficient artist portal to handle all data management and royalties.

“Gaga’s an independent music company all about service,” says Gillies. “Our digital aggregation arm was born out of necessity. We wanted to offer our published artists a fair and easy aggregation service. The intention was always about furthering an artist’s opportunity.”

Gaga Music opened for business in 2007. As a digital aggregator, the business has worked with the likes of Courtney Barnett, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, A. Swayze and The Ghosts and others.

Billboard can confirm Alex Prudames, Sync and Label Manager at Gaga Music, will lead Gaga Digi, which adds Brightness, Florian, Angie Hudson, Matt Hsu, Third Eye Stimuli Records and others to its digital distribution network.

“Landing sync all around the world it’s important to ensure the song is available globally from the time the ad goes to air,” adds Gillies. “It’s a pretty cool set up here and probably time we start telling you all about it.”

Based in Sydney, the new unit delivers tracks to all relevant social platforms and digital service providers, including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and Amazon Music. “Gaga Digi offers more than just distro,” reads the blurb on its official page, “we’re a creative service too.”
