It’s the largest tax-defaulter on the latest list published by Revenue.

A fuel retailer and wholesaler, now in liquidation, owes a tax settlement of over €9m.

It’s the largest tax-defaulter on the latest list published by Revenue.

Revenue made 17 tax settlements with defaulters between July and the end of September.

They amounted to nearly €20m.

By far the biggest was €9.2m owed by DMG Energy, from Charleston Road in Ranelagh in Dublin 6.

This relates to non-declaration of excise duty and under-declaration of VAT.

However, this company is now in liquidation and the full amount of the tax settlement remains unpaid.

Michael Feeley, a farmer and company director, from the Anthogher Road in Roscommon, has made a tax settlement on €4.9m, none of which is outstanding.

Thomas McGowan, Clonmellon, Westmeath, a company director, landlord and publican, made a settlement for €61,967.52 euro while PAYE employee, Donncha Phelan, Cappincur, Tullamore, was hit with a bill for €45,389.
