Both of these stories, written by city of Allentown reporter Andrew Wagaman, illustrate the effectiveness of a good beat reporter. The first story, about the redevelopment project proposed at the waterfront, also was covered by other media, but Andrew knows the city very well and he was able to bring context that other outlets simply didn’t have.
