Fremont Brewing’s Full-Time Event & Social Media Specialist is part of our small events team and reports to the Marketing & Events Manager. The role of the Event & Social Media Specialist is responsible for coordinating and staffing festivals, special events, and curating content for social media. This job requires approximately 60% travel time and many evenings and weekends.

Job Responsibilities/Expectation:
Event Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Marketing & Events Manager to coordinate and staff events to ensure smooth setup and festival experience
- Handle pre-event logistics well in advance, including event signup, select and order beer, schedule staff coverage and communicate internally and between festival coordinators
- Represent Fremont at festivals and special events, always maintaining a professional and appropriate demeanor
- Engage with event attendees by discussing our beers, the Fremont story, and Fremont’s overall beer philosophy
- Collaborate with Marketing & Events Manager to develop and execute new, in-house events, managing budgets, vendors, permitting, etc.
- Maintain event storage area and equipment weekly
- Manage internal events calendar and keep all event data up to date in shared project management software
- Research and identify potential new events, regularly review all current events to determine if they are worth continuing
- Maintain Event Recap spreadsheet (budget, items to improve upon, etc.)
- Partner with Sales Team to implement strategic and impactful events across our distribution footprint
- Complete projects or duties assigned by the Marketing & Events Manager
Social Media Responsibilities:
- Create, source, and curate content and copy that supports marketing campaigns and is in line with Fremont’s brand visual identity and tone of voice
- Manage content social media calendar through Sprout Social
- Limitless creativity, obsession with social media, and a keen eye for detail
Required Skills / Experience
- 2+ years of event coordination/management or related experience
- 2+ years’ experience managing social media for a business, organization, or institution
- A passion for craft beer and outgoing personality that loves connecting with people
- Strong computer skills (web-based email, Microsoft Office suite)
- Video content curation and knowledge of editing tools
- Articulate and professional in written and verbal communication
- Excellent project management skills, highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, focused, professional, and punctual
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and a general personal of awesomeness
- Ability to work onsite, travel, and work nights and weekends as needed for events
- Valid driver’s license, squeaky-clean driving record, and access to a reliable car for transportation of event equipment
- Maintain a flexible schedule (evenings and weekends)
- Critical thinker with proven problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- Knowledge of the brewing process and draft systems
- Experience serving and talking about craft beer
- A class 12 server’s permit (must be obtained within 14 days of hire)
- Certified Beer Server through Cicerone Program
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
- Ability to move heavy materials (lifting up to 55 pounds, moving up to 160 pounds)
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
