Free sandbags available for Tri-Valley residents | News

Local municipalities are helping Tri-Valley residents and their property withstand the wet weather this week with several free sandbag stations.

Free sand and sandbags are available for Pleasanton residents and businesses at any time in front of the city operations services department, 3333 Busch Road, according to the city website.

Dublin officials said businesses and residents “who may feel that their property is being threatened by flooding” can pick up sandbags from the city corporation yard at 5709 Scarlett Court. In the event the sandbag pallets are empty, a sandbag-filling station will be provided.

Dublin Public Works will also provide bags, shovels and a mound of sand for residents to fill up to 10 bags.

The city of Livermore maintenance service center, located at 3500 Robertson Park Rd., also has sandbag supplies, and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Stations No. 6 and 8 — 4550 East Avenue and 5750 Scenic Avenue — have free supplies as well.
