With rains and hailstorms hitting the state, Bhagat went to the centres. He then called for action against officials who did not take adequate measures to protect paddy from the rains at the centres, an official communication said.
The Deputy Registrar Co-operative Society Raipur, N.R.K. Chandravanshi, said those suspended were Kishan Lal Sonwani, Mukesh Verma, Shiv Patel, Vishwajit Biswas, Ashok Sahu and Parmeshwar Prasad Sharma.
Action was taken under the Chhattisgarh Cooperative Society Act, Rules and Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society Employees Service Rules.
Similarly, show-cause notice has been issued to the District Marketing Officer, Chhattisgarh State Co-operative Marketing Federation, District Raipur, for giving wrong information.
As per inspection report of Mandir Hasaud, the paddy sacks were found kept in the open. They were also not stitched. Despite being warned about untimely rains, no action was initiated to protect the paddy.
