Food distribution in Dansville Wednesday – News – The Evening Tribune

DANSVILLE — Livingston County is partnering with Foodlink and local school districts to hold weekly drive-thru food distributions throughout the summer months.

An event will be held Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. at Dansville Central School District, 282 Main St, Dansville.

The goal of these distributions is to assist households in need of food support during this public health emergency. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to Livingston County residents only. Registration is not required.

Each vehicle will receive three boxes of pre-packaged food, totaling approximately 75 pounds. The boxes will contain dairy, produce and other perishables.

These events will involve no-touch distribution. Proper social distancing will be maintained at all times in order to protect the health and safety of everyone at each location.

Angela Ellis, Deputy County Administrator, stated, “The previous food distribution events demonstrated that there is growing demand for emergency food support during this challenging time. We look forward to continuing these events throughout the summer. Thank you to all of our partners and volunteers for making these events so meaningful for so many.”

The summer food distribution events will be held each Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and rotate among school districts. In addition to Dansville, the schedule for the month of June also includes:
