The Trump administration has released two documents allowing importation of more affordable drugs. The first policy allows states, wholesalers and pharmacies to import drugs from Canada with Department of Health and Human Services approval. The second policy allows drugmakers to import their own drugs sold abroad. (STAT)

More teenagers are using marijuana by vaping than smoking, according to a study by the National Institutes of Health’s Monitoring the Future survey. In the past month, 14% of high school seniors said they vaped marijuana, double the number in 2018. (CNBC)

The Food and Drug Administration is facing increased pressure to act on the teen vaping epidemic. The department has yet to finalize restrictions to curb growth in vaping over the past two years. Two proposals, a restriction on flavored e-cigarettes and a policy requiring that e-cigarette makers show the benefit of their products to public health, have been delayed. (Reuters)

Meanwhile, Facebook and Instagram have banned influencers from promoting products such as vapes, tobacco and weapons. This is the first rule the social media platforms have instituted for what type of branded content influencers can post. (Bloomberg)
