Bengaluru: An accidental fire broke out in a private plywood manufacturing factory located in Thanisandra, Nagavara, on Thursday midnight. As many as eight fire tenders fought the blaze for nearly 12 hours. No casualties were reported.
According to fire and emergency personnel, the factory is located around 2.5km from Hebbal fire station. “By the time we reached the spot, the fire had extended to the entire factory. We feel there was a delay in alerting us,” he said.
When asked about the reason behind the fire, the officer said: “We have to take statements from the persons concerned at the factory and carry out an inspection. Only then can we ascertain the reason.”
