Fire guts jute sticks factory in Pabna

Fire gutted a jute sticks factory in at Maniknagar village of Kaitla union under Bera upazila in Pabna on Sunday.

The fire originated from an electrical short-circuit at around 7:30pm, Mizanur Rahman, duty officer of Bera Fire Service Station, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.

Upon receiving information, two units of firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. 

Damages in the fire were estimated at about Tk5,00,000, said the fire official.
