Nashik, Jan 31 (UNI) A fire broke out at a toy factory in Ambad industrial area of the city on Sunday, destroying materials worth lakhs of rupees.
The fire broke out in the toy factory of Amol Industries in Ambad Industrial Estate this morning and soon the entire factory was engulfed in flames.
The security guards of the factory immediately reported incident to the fire brigade, police said.
Following which, three fire engines rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.
Though no one was reportedly injured in the blaze, it destroyed five moulding machines, a close circuit TV camera system, large quantity of raw materials and finished goods in the factory.
According to preliminary estimates, the financial loss could be around Rs 1 crore.
Although the cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately, it is suspected that the fire might have started due to a short-circuit, sources added.
