Find your frequency at the Fuse Factory

The electronic and digital arts lab hosts the free, two-day Frequency Festival at the Cultural Arts Center this weekend

After outgrowing its previous home at It Looks Like It’s Open in Clintonville, the Fuse Factory moved into the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, giving the electronic and digital arts lab access to a larger event space, improved sound and lighting, fully equipped classrooms for hosting workshops and more.

This weekend, the Fuse Factory will get to take full advantage of those new and improved amenities during Frequency Festival, which Fuse describes as “a two-day micro-festival celebrating central Ohio genre-bending experimental and electronic musicians, sound artists, digital/video artists, and filmmakers.”

The free fest begins today (Friday, May 20) at 6:30 p.m. with the premiere of “You’re the Diver, I’m the Water,” a film by Matt Meindl and Krista Faist, and a 7:30 p.m. show featuring multiple electronic musicians pairing their performances with visuals.

Saturday, May 21, will begin with afternoon artist talks from Matt and Nicolette Swift and others, followed by a happy hour, another film screening and more performances.

Head to the Fuse Factory website for a full schedule of events.
