The county will hold their final free COVID-19 rapid test drive-thru distribution event in Lower Bucks County Wednesday.

The event will take place at the Sesame Place parking lot at 100 Sesame Road in Middletown Township from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. or until supplies are exhausted. Drivers will have access to the event through North Bucks Town Drive.

The Bucks County Health Department and Bucks County Emergency Management Agency will provide four antigen tests kits per vehicle.

The drive-up event has had lines of vehicles over the past two distributions, but the traffic moved quickly and it took only minutes to get tests.

The first county distribution in Middletown Township took place on January 19.

Distribution events were also held in the central and upper end of the county.

A final distribution event in Central Bucks County will take place Monday, February 7 at Warminster Community Park from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In early January, the Bucks County Commissioners voted to pay $2.77 million to Safeware Inc., of Lanham, Maryland, to order 300,000 test kits. Additionally, the commissioners approved spending $251,904 to purchase COVID-19 test kits from Safeware Inc. for students, school workers, and unvaccianted county employees.

The Middletown Township distribution events have handed out about 48,000 at-home COVID-19 tests to residents.
