fci: 3 Fci Staff Suspended For Paddy Procurement Irregularities | Ranchi News

Daltonganj: Three officials of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) have been suspended on charges of irregularities in paddy procurement during 2020-21 in Palamu.
The three officials are Rishpal Singh, divisional manager of FCI, Solan Dangil, who prior to his suspension was the depot in-charge of the paddy procurement centre at Chainpur in Palamu, and Amit Guria, purchase officer of the paddy procurement centre at Bishrampur. Singh was suspended on March 31, 2022, while Dangil and Guria were suspended on March 23 this year.
A letter to this effect, a copy of which is with TOI, was notified by the executive director east of the FCI Ajit Kumar Sinha. As per the letter of suspension Singh was prima facie found involved in “false and fabricated” delivery of rice to a mill in Seraikela. The zonal investigating squad of the FCI had conducted an inquiry and found him guilty of the irregularities. “There were procedural and supervisory lapses on his part in the advance delivery of rice to a mill in Seraikela,” read the letter regarding Singh. The other two officials were acting hand in gloves with Singh. FCI sources said the procured paddy of Palamu goes to rice mills in Seraikela and in Bihar for processing. TNN
