Families encouraged to sign-up for food distribution event at Navarro ISD

Food assistance open to all families in the area

(Geronimo) — Signup is now underway for a food distribution event in the Navarro ISD. The food distribution is a memorial for Rick Martin who served as the president of the Navarro ISD Board of Trustees.

Whitney Magness, the communications officer for the Navarro ISD, says both Rick and his wife Kim Martin have always had a passion for marking sure that the district’s students were fed by creating the Panthers Feeding Panthers Program.

Although the food drive is being hosted by the Navarro ISD, any family needing food in the area is eligible to receive assistance.

Magness says many student and adult volunteers will be giving up their Saturday to help provide this community service. Guadalupe County representatives will also be volunteering as well.
Those wishing to sign-up for food are asked to register online at https://freshtrak.com/register/event/79851

Those wishing to volunteer are also encouraged to sign-up via signupgenius.com.
The food distribution event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday outside the Navarro Intermediate School.
