The Bessolo wrench factory is well on its way to locate in Red Bluff. The committee has concluded all details with Messrs. Bessolo and Martin and today is receiving subscriptions to stock, and receiving them at a rate that bids well for the ultimate success of the movement.
Among the many subscriptions taken this morning was one for a thousand dollars. The committee is composed of H. D. Jerrett, R. L. Douglas and H. P. Stice. Business men should not wait for this committee or any part of it to hunt them up. Hunt up members of this committee, or Mr. Martin, and make your subscriptions as generously as you can possibly afford to make them.
The committee has undertaken, through what is felt to be the hearty support of the community, to raise $36,000. The terms have been worked out to enable the subscriber to pay 25 per cent down, and the balance in six mouths.
The committee has ten days in which to raise this money. Considering the importance of the undertaking to the future of the town ten days would seem to be many days too many for the job.
A number of building sites have been called to the attention of the committee, and rapid progress is being made in that direction. The committee is clothed with authority to proceed to a final termination of the contract and no time will be lost in further haggling or consultation.
Hunt up the committee. They are prepared to give all needful information on the proposition.
