CM directed officials that the paddy must be procured through Indira Kranthi Patham, Primary Agricultural Cooperatives Societies, and market committees from the village itself

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday called for hassle-free procurement of yasangi paddy from farmers in the State. He directed Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to take all necessary steps.
The Chief Minister, while asking the officials to prepare an action plan for procurement, directed that the paddy must be procured through Indira Kranthi Patham, Primary Agricultural Cooperatives Societies, and market committees from the village itself.
The Chief Minister said the Food Corporation of India was ready to procure one lakh tonnes of paddy and instructed the Chief Secretary to convene an emergency review meeting on the matter on Monday to prepare the guidelines.
