Emergent Cold Latam acquires new distribution unit in Brazil

The new facility consists of nearly 20,000 square metres of floor space, with room for 19,900 pallet positions.

This acquisition represents Emergent Cold LatAm’s latest investment in Brazil having entered its  cold logistics market in November 2021, when it purchased Martini Meat, and then added the company DMX Logística, which specialises in the movement of animal protein cargo in that country.

“This latest acquisition allows us to provide customers with fully integrated solutions in a larger area of Brazil, including transportation, warehousing and other value-added services. I am pleased to add this high-quality unit to our expanding network in Brazil,” said Evandro Calanca, Managing director of Emergent Cold Brazil.

With the new location in Recife, Emergent Cold LatAm now has refrigerated warehousing operations in four Brazilian states: Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Pernambuco.
