Electrical wholesaler takes unit at Leeds estate

An electrical wholesaler has agreed a deal for a unit on a North Leeds trade counter estate.

Denmans has taken unit one at Ribston Trade Park on Roundhay Road on a new ten-year lease, in a deal brokered by property consultancy Gent Visick.

The business was founded in 1946, and is part of Rexel, a global leader in the distribution of electrical supplies and services to the industrial, commercial and residential markets.

The unit at Ribston Trade Park is the company’s first in Leeds and four jobs have initially been created.

Paul Atherton, managing director at Denmans, said: “As a Leeds born and bred northerner it’s a great pleasure to be able to bring Denmans to my hometown. Leeds and the surrounding areas have many thousands of potential customers who can enjoy our professional range of 12,500 electricians’ products, ready for delivery or collection in under a minute.

“We pride ourselves on service, availability, innovation and value, and we look forward to welcoming new customers to Denmans. Our arrival at Ribston Trade Park in Leeds further compliments our other established Yorkshire branches in Huddersfield and York.”

Jonathan Jacob, from Gent Visick, added: “Ribston Trade Park continues to be the go-to estate for trade counter occupiers looking to gain a foothold in North Leeds. This deal marks the third unit let to a national trade counter occupier in as many months, and we anticipate significant interest in the last remaining unit.”
