Wednesday, April 8 is Hall Township Food Pantry’s annual Easter Distribution. Clients of the pantry will receive all the groceries needed for an Easter celebration, but must have preregistered for the event. Each family received a pink sheet when registering, which is required in order to pick up the food. (The last day to register for the giving is Tuesday, April 7 (from 10 a.m. – noon.)
Eligible families must reside in the Pantry’s giving area: Arlington, Bureau, Cherry, Dalzell, DePue, Hollowayville, Ladd, Seatonville and/or Spring Valley and meet income eligibility requirements.
In order to comply with coronavirus safety measures, distribution will be drive-through with clients staying in their vehicles. Volunteers will load boxes and bags in clean, empty trunks ONLY. (Of course, this includes back end of trucks and/or vans, says director Jan Martin.) Persons not complying with
instructions will be asked to leave and return when the vehicle is acceptable.
Only ONE pickup per vehicle is recommended as ample room is needed for groceries. If you have questions, call the pantry at 815-663-2085.
